Aftercare

Facial Aftercare

Facial treatments stimulate renewal, hydration, and circulation beneath the surface. In the days following your service, your skin is actively recalibrating — proper aftercare protects your glow and maximizes results.

    • Avoid picking at your skin

    • Skip the heavy makeup and skin-care products

    • Go easy on your face when washing it

    • Skip the toner

    • Resist the sauna

    • Rethink that post-facial massage

    • Reschedule your workout

    • Lay off any exfoliators or face scrubs

    • Stay away from acne products and other at-home treatments

    • Stay out of the sun

    • Postpone any wax or laser treatments on your face

Procell Microchanneling Aftercare

Procell Microchanneling activates a powerful collagen renewal response beneath the surface of your skin. During the first 24 hours, your skin is in a highly active repair phase. Proper aftercare protects your investment, supports healing, and maximizes long-term results.

  • Your skin barrier is temporarily more vulnerable during this time.

    Please avoid:

    • Touching the treated area
    • Contact with phones, pillows, bedding, or fabrics
    • Applying any products not provided during treatment
    • Makeup on treated areas
    • Direct sun exposure

Even minimal contact can introduce bacteria or irritation while microchannels are still open.

Mascara or lip products on untreated areas are fine.

  • Once the initial window has passed:

    You may apply:
    • Broad-spectrum SPF 30+

    Avoid:
    • Saunas, steam rooms, hot showers
    • Intense workouts or heavy sweating
    • Pools, hot tubs, or ocean exposure
    • Makeup on treated areas for 24 hours
    • Direct sun exposure without protection

Heat and sweat increase inflammation and can interfere with the controlled healing response we are aiming for.

Hydration is Important: Hydration plays a crucial role in the cellular renewal process. Keep your skin consistently hydrated and moisturized in the days following your treatment session. Do not allow the skin to become excessively dry, as this can impede the healing process and compromise your results. If you experience dryness or tightness in the days or weeks after treatment, additional post-treatment hydrating masks are available at Glow Up Studio

What to Expect During the Healing Process

It is normal for the skin to experience sensations such as:

    • Redness
    • Warmth
    • Mild tightness
    • Light sensitivity
    • A sunburn-like appearance

These responses indicate collagen stimulation is actively happening beneath the surface.

  • You may begin your Procell Step 1 & Step 2 Aftercare Serums twice daily.

    Application Order:

    1. Cleanse gently

    2. Apply Step 1 Cellular Renewal Serum

    3. Wait 60–90 seconds

    4. Apply Step 2 Healing Accelerator Serum

    5. Moisturizer if approved

    6. SPF 30+ in the morning

Allowing absorption time between steps ensures optimal penetration and prevents product pilling.

  • Pause Active Ingredients

    For 5–7 days, avoid:

    • Retinoids
    • AHA/BHA exfoliants
    • Vitamin C serums
    • Strong actives

These can increase irritation during this sensitive renewal phase.

We will guide you on when to safely reintroduce them.

  • Avoid neurotoxins, fillers, peels, IPL, or laser treatments for approximately 2 weeks unless cleared by your provider.

This prevents overlapping inflammatory responses and protects your results.

Lash Extensions Aftercare

Lash extensions are a precision service. During the first 24 hours, the adhesive is still curing, and long-term retention depends on proper care. Following these guidelines protects your lashes and preserves your investment.

  • First 24 Hours

Your adhesive is still curing during the first 24 hours. Proper care ensures maximum retention and longevity.

    Avoid:
    • Water, steam, or excessive humidity
    • Workouts or heavy sweating
    • Saunas, hot yoga, or hot showers
    • Rubbing, pulling, or sleeping face-down

    Do:
    • Keep lashes dry
    • Sleep on your back if possible
    • Gently brush with a clean spoolie if needed

  • After 24 Hours

Now that your adhesive has fully cured, proper maintenance is key to longevity.

    Do:

    • Cleanse daily with an oil-free lash cleanser
    • Brush gently with a clean spoolie
    • Sleep on your back or side when possible
    • Rebook fills every 2–3 weeks

    Avoid:

    • Oil-based products around the eye area
    • Heavy creams directly on lashes
    • Picking, pulling, or rubbing
    • Excessive heat exposure

    Why it matters:
Clean lashes last longer. Oils and buildup break down adhesive and cause premature shedding.

Healthy natural lashes = better retention.

Lash Lift/Tint, Brow Lam & Tint/Stain Aftercare

Lash lifts and brow laminations restructure the hair to create lift and definition. During the first 24 hours, the hair is still setting — thoughtful aftercare ensures your results remain smooth, lifted, and polished.

  • Your hair structure is still setting during the first 24 hours.

    Avoid:
    • Water or steam
    • Makeup on treated areas
    • Heavy creams or oils
    • Excessive heat or sweating
    • Sleeping directly on your face

    Do:
    • Keep the area clean and dry
    • Brush hairs gently into place if needed

After 24 hours, you may resume normal cleansing and apply conditioning products as recommended.

    Why it matters:
Moisture and pressure can alter the setting process and affect your final result.

  • Once the setting period has passed, you may resume normal cleansing.

    To maintain lift and condition:

    • Apply a nourishing lash serum daily
    • Brush lashes upward gently
    • Avoid waterproof mascara when possible
    • Rebook every 6–8 weeks

    Why it matters:
Hydrated lashes hold their shape better and appear shinier, darker, and healthier.

  • After the setting period, you may cleanse as normal.

    To maintain structure and softness:

    • Apply a conditioning serum daily
    • Brush brows into place each morning
    • Avoid aggressive exfoliation in the brow area
    • Rebook every 6–8 weeks

    Why it matters:
Hydration keeps the hair flexible and prevents brittleness, preserving the lifted effect.
